"Feel better " is used loosely I would suppose. Just because women have to love around within a certain amount of hours doesn't mean they feel better just means they arr following doctor orders.

Has a c section because Baby was upside down. Epidural Anästhesia. Was able to Walk After 20h. No Problem with milk or scars. After 3 days I left the Hospital and had no issues. Im now 49 but I would Never Chose Natural Birth. Why? Pain , not neccessary in 2024 in my opinion, vagina would Never be the Same, no Stiches, no inkontinet

Labor is much, MUCH worse than a c section. I had stalled labor at 10cm with my first. Hurt so bad, overlapping contractions, no progress. The throbbing pain spread into my hips and down my legs like sciatica. I had an emergency c section. I opted for a c section at 39 weeks every time after that. Healing after the first c section felt like hot shards of glass in my tummy if I moved much, otherwise no complications. 2nd time was easier, 3rd time was the easiest yet. After 24 hrs I didn't even need OTC pain meds anymore but the nurses made me take it anyway because they didn't believe me when I said I felt fine. I don't want to sound like a wimp or scare expecting moms, but from my own experience I definitely would never want to opt for labor and a vag birth, no way!

Ive had 2 c sections , one was emergency after 36 hrs in active labor , i only dialated 1cm! oh my goodness the contractions are horrible so painful , i was instructed not to take any medication for pain , bad idea 😅 My 2nd was planned , and to be honest it is nerve recking, afterall it is a major surgery , and the Delivery of a special little human, During the c section You are not supposed to feel any pain. I didn't, but you do feel the pressure of them tugging and pulling your skin apart. The delivery for the baby itself is about 10 to 15 minutes and the stitching up of the abdomen was about 40 minutes. For the recovery, it is painful. When I mean painful? I mean uncomfortable .Hurts to sneeze , laugh , poop , fart lol , or to just move around , but it all depends on a persons pain tolorence , i did need assistance to get up , But I was able to walk on my own the very next day after the csection , It is painful when you first get up as it feels like your muscles are being stretched apart. So it's kind of an uncomfortable feeling , but its bearible (also take pain killers as instructed they to help ) The birth of a child weather is vaginal or C section are gong to be painful ,After all you are giving life to another human. Good luck to all moms to be you got this !!!

I just had Open Heart Surgery on July 1st and I was home on the 4th..I'm 60..so I had some sharp pains for quite a while and dizzy spells back in 2020..I had just about every test done and nothing was found back then..so I changed cardiologist and I told him I wanted a Corinary Catherasation test..turns out I was 100 % blocked in the Artery on my right side and 80 % on one on the left..so I was admitted and scheduled for surgery..They could not bypass the right artery that was 100%blocked..something about it being too small and my artery they took out of my leg was too big..I don't get it? I would think they would use a different one..they said the heart pretty much redirected blood flow and a Stent wouldn't work..they did the other side using a vein already in the area..they said it was called a Lima to LED...pretty confusing to me... So here's the Bad part!! Recovery is a MFer..The pain is ridiculous.. If you don't have someone to help you at home it's gonna be Hell.. The worst part is chest congestion or Flem that's gotta come up or you will be coughing until it does..holding a pillow tight against your chest is the only relief..do your best to try and control your breathing so you don't cough a lot..you especially don't want to sneeze...I bought a Pur Mist steam inhaler from Walgreens to help break down the congestion..if you hear gargling in your lungs when taking a breath that's gotta come out..I keep a large thermos with ice water nearby and if I get a scratch in my throat I'll take constant sips to stop the urge of coughing... Another hard part is getting in and out of bed..I ended up ordering a Lifting Recliner with heat and massage and I'm still using it to sit and sleep on..Best $300 I've ever spent...OK well I know this is an old post but if anyone reads this I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have..good luck

It depends how the vaginal birth goes though. My sister had to get sliced from her vagina to anus to pull her large baby out with foreceps. Same thing happened to my mum first time she gave birth. That is a more traumatic and a painful situation to recover from. I had a c section because i had breach twins the recovery time was hard but I'd still prefer it to getting my vag sliced 🫢

I had vaginal birth, ended up forceps as baby didnt want to come out. No epidural, felt everyting for ever, doctors couldnt figure out why she didnt want to come out as i was 10cm, so they told me to push rather than what i was doing (breathing through) I then had bowel prolapse. That caused me suffering still 17 months after. I cant lift weigh or even my baby, I sometimes poo myself...no one cares....and once they finally did emergency as the heartbeat went very low i thought I was released from suffer where in fact it all started. They didnt wait for placenta to come out, they pulled it out that caused me limping for 3 months with no innerthigh muscle working.....Never mind sex....it was so painful and uncomfortable as I off course had to be cut for up to 6 months! Please speak the truth about how the labour can really look like as its very different to every woman, and saying we are fully healed after 4-6 weeks is a BIG Lie.

Ppl seem to ignore the fact that c sections are surgeries! Major surgeries. It’s totally different from a vaginal birth. Your vagina will shrink back relatively fast but recovery from surgery takes months. I bled after my c section 3 separate times just from sitting down and getting up too quickly. You can’t even move let alone pick up baby or clean or do anything standing for long.

It’s manageable. Driving after 6 weeks. 6 months of PT. No long term meds. Only one BP med and aspirin. I know the whole ordeal scared the crap out of my wife, kids and family, but it really wasn’t that bad. Great surgeon. I did NOT have a heart attack so there was no heart damage.
